Adam Lambert Grammys red carpet debut at Staples Center:
American Idol new correspondant for ET

January 25, 2010 -- Many Adam Lambert fans have been wondering whether or not the American Idol singing sensation/hunk of the year will be performing on the 52nd annual Grammy Awards at the Nokia Center L.A. Live. With that, the news today (January 25) that the showman's sizzling presence will be on the red carpet for ET and not on the stage has some ardent supporters feeling let down.
Yes, all will be glad to watch as this articulate artist asks the burning questions as they walk into the high-octane Staples Center, but hearing Adam Lambert query each star going into the Grammys about "What are you wearing?" feels far less satisfying then hearing this powerhouse sing at the biggest music event of the award show season.
Maybe next year?

"The Grammys is an opportunity to wear runway looks that are so funky that they probably won't ever get produced," says Jen Rade, who is styling Pink for tonight's Grammys and appears as a fashion commentator on the TV Guide network.
It should be quite a contrast with what we witnessed during the last few weeks at the Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild Awards, and what we're likely to see come March at the Oscars.
The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards is officially kicked off Sunday, January 31 with the arrival of celebrities especially people in music industry to the red carpet. As usual, stealing the runway is Lady GaGa who appears with yellower hair and a complicated solar system-themed gown.
Turns out the gown that shows off her leg is one design by Georgio Armani. "I am honoured to be wearing Armani this evening. The series of pieces Mr. Armani created for me are truly iconic; they represent not only beautiful fashion, but my spirit and essence as an artist," she says in a statement to the press. GaGa, who is scheduled to perform later that night, adds there will be a lot more costume changing later.
Adam Lambert may actually be bugged on the Grammy red carpet.
At the Grammy Style Studio on Saturday, the Dish Rag got the scoop on several eclectic suits Adam's personal stylist was looking at by designer Nemer Saade.
And his stylist also picked out a pair of Thomas Pink's equally wild cufflinks that Adam may end up wearing to the Grammy's today.
Keep an eye out for something crawling up his sleeves on the red carpet.
And they'll look so great when he's doing his fashion correspondent duties for ET.
Dude knows how to make a creepy fashion statement. Those spiders are so you, Adam!
