Adam Lambert joined the ranks of Kylie, Mariah, and Pink when he performed at London's famed G-A-Y nightclub on Saturday, April 24th. Lambert hit the UK this week to promote the re-release of his hit album, "For Your Entertainment."
Lambert performed a six-song set, including the Pink-penned "Whataya Want From Me," the album's title track, "Strut," "If I Had You," and the Lady Gaga-assisted "Fever."
He also performed "Down the Rabbit Hole," one of four new songs featured on the new deluxe edition of "For Your Entertainment," which also includes "Voodoo," "Masterplan," and "Can't Let You Go."
Lambert is spending the next few weeks in Europe to promote the new version of the album, which hits stores May 3rd. "London is so beautiful today!!!" he tweeted before his G-A-Y show. "The sun is shining and I'm looking forward to my show tonight!!!"
Lambert will then head back to the states in the summer for his "Glam Nation Tour." Hitting arenas and theaters across the country, Lambert will hit the stage along with opening acts Orianthi and fellow "American Idol" alum

After a long week of ash-related uncertainty, and in another Jeremy Joseph coup, Adam Lambert, runner up in the American Idol competition finally made it in to the country last week to play his first ever UK gig live at G-A-Y. With elements of indie, goth and glam-rock in both his look and sound, he is not the usual G-A-Y poptastic crooner but still packed out the house with fans and newbies eager for a taste. His 30 minute set included 'Fever' written by Lady Gaga as well as 'Strut', 'Rabbit Hole' and debut UK single 'For Your Entertainment', and saw him jumping and cavorting energetically with 4 dancers in front of his full band. His training on American Idol has turned him in to a consummate performer and apart from a few technical difficulties at the beginning it was a flawless show of immaculate vocals and energy. All that and he is the first openly gay mainstream pop artist to launch a career on a major label in America! Fantastic. | |
