- We’re not just known for our ’80s classics,” said Tears for Fears singer/guitarist Roland Orzabal near the end of the group’s 95-minute set at House of Blues on Monday. He paused and added, “Actually, we are.”
He was right, of course. But they’re also known because Kanye West sampled “Memories Fade” on “Coldest Winter” and because Adam Lambert did a gorgeous, orchestrated version of their desolate ballad “Mad World.”
Tears for Fears opened their first Boston show in more than five years with Lambert’s prerecorded version, as bassist/singer Curt Smith walked out to join on vocals. More here http://www.bostonherald.com/entertainment/music/general/view.bg?articleid=1275361&srvc=rss

- Tears for Fears rocked Boston's House of Blues on Monday, five years after the duo last played the Hub.
Bostonist had two spies at the show who provided us a picture. They loved the show. It seems Curt Smith and Roland Orzabal can still sing 20 years after we almost forget they existed.
The band began their set with Adam Lambert's version of their ballad “Mad World.” They performed fresh versions of the band's hits like "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and "Sowing the Seeds of Love," before closing with "Shout." http://bostonist.com/2010/08/18/tears_for_fears_back_in_boston.php
