If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Adam Lambert over the years, it’s that as dynamic a recording artist as he is, that flash and fire is multiplied once he hits the stage.
This wasn’t lost on Brian May, who hand-picked Adam to perform with Queen, bringing his own interpretation to such classics as “We Will Rock You.” Is there anyone else of his generation that can step into Freddie Mercury‘s Adidas Samba, and not look ridiculous? No. . In fact, Adam makes it a habit to pay tribute to divas and icons in his shows, from an acoustic version of Rihanna’s “Stay” to a spirited go at Donna Summer’s classic “Hot Stuff”, to many more.
In a bit of wish-fulfillment, I decided to pick nine divas and icons, past and present, and the songs I’d love to hear Adam perform. Some of them were hits, some were signature songs, but I think Adam could do them all justice.......see the list on The Backlot
Fans Fight Back: SFGN Publisher Blasts Adam Lambert in Editorial, Enraging Fans
Quote :
After SFGN Publisher Norm Kent wrote an editorial piece “Adam Lambert’s GLAAD Award a Joke” where he blasted GLAAD for giving the pop singer an award LGBT advocacy, social media blew up with Lambert fans, known affectionately as Glamberts, attacked SFGN and Kent.
They were especially outraged at these passages from Kent:
“Therefore, seeing him on the cover of our newspaper a few weeks ago made my partner and me puke.”
“Both of us went ballistic that Lambert was on our cover. Other than feature new makeup every day, what has this kid done to warrant a cover story?”
“…and the story that takes down our website is Adam Lambert’s breakup with his boyfriend? This is unreal. How shallow have we become?”
“Give me a break. This award is presented to whoever can fill the seats and make money for GLAAD at its annual fundraising dinner.”............. continue reading
Adam Lambert's 'Then & Now' Photo Proves That Glam Doesn't Age
Quote :
Adam Lambert shared a glamouriffic "Then & Now" photo! Looking at this "Then & Now" photo of Adam Lambert totally has us narrating a glam fairy tale in our heads... something like (read in the voice of Morgan Freeman), "A long, long time ago (2002 to be exact), there lived a young boy named Adam Lambert. Unbeknownst to him, he was DESTINED to become the Prince Of Glam." Actually, Adam probably always knew that he would one day rule the Glamberg kingdom -- just look at his confident 22-year-old look! It totally screams, "I WIN AT EVERYTHING" and "Did anyone TiVo that new show "American Idol"? I want to take notes so I can DOMINATE it one day." The "Never Close Our Eyes" singer shared the photo on Instagram along with the caption, "9 years ago! Woah. (That's some bad yellow bleach)." First, we have to disagree with Adam on the bad bleach job -- need we remind him that it could have been waaay worse, like, "'90s boy band frosted tips" worse. Second, WE MUST HAVE Adam's moisturizing routine! Aside from his brighter hair and those earrings, Adam still looks exactly like he did in his early 20s! Apparently that's just another perk of having all that potent glam coursing through your veins (see also: the ability to nail every smize and give epic "neck porn" at any time) -- you NEVER age. Adam Lambert Join Forces With AT&T And The Trevor Project

Out and proud singer Adam Lambert has joined forces with AT&T and the Trevor Project for “Live Proud,” a campaign designed to further and fully support lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning people — the LGBTQ community.
The overall “Live Proud” effort invites the LGBTQ community to be empowered and proud, just like Glambert.
The singer is offering a small group of contest winners the chance to enjoy an intimate gig in Los Angeles, at a small venue. Fans are asked to submit an image or story that represents an AT&T “Live Proud” moment, and that’s how they can enter for a chance to win the aforementioned AT&T VIP experience with Adam Lambert.
Additionally, AT&T will contribute at least $25,000 and up to $50,000 to the Trevor Project, an organization that focuses on both crisis intervention and suicide prevention for LGBTQ youth.
The contest runs through June 30, and participants can like the AT&T Live Proud Facebook, which will lead to AT&T donating a dollar to the Project. They can also RT @ATT, @TrevorProject or @adamlambert in tweet that mentions #attliveproud and AT&T will donate 50 cents to The Trevor Project.
