Two, it seems, is Adam Lambert’s lucky number.

The guy-linered glam-ball’s second-place finish on American Idol somehow seemed more like a win than a loss (how many runners-up have you seen beat out the champ for the cover of Rolling Stone?), and now, sales for his still-untitled November 24 debut have soared to the no. 2 spot on Amazon — a move almost unprecedented for an album nearly two months out.

Even more impressively, Lambert’s label, RCA, hasn’t even publicized the pre-sale, meaning that the current rush is largely organic and fan-based.

What do you think, readers — will Adam’s first album match the triumphs of other non-winner winners like Jennifer Hudson and Chris Daughtry, or exceed them?

Do promises of a “Queen-inspired sound” and contributions from Lady Gaga producer RedOne and hit-makers Ryan Tedder, Linda Perry and Dr. Luke (as per his Twitter) have you all hot under the bedazzled collar?
