Adam Lambert talks Queen-influenced third album
‘They make me feel liberated’

- Adam Lambert has given some little clues about his upcoming third album and teased that Queen's music – including his lengthy summer arena tour with the band – has influenced the creative direction.
The glam rocker has been working on material since earlier this year, but he says that Queen's experimental rock sound is now back in style and has liberated him to make the album he wants to make.
Adam told Yahoo!: "Queen's music goes all over the place and obviously spans decades, and so it kind of makes me feel, for my upcoming album, really liberated to do whatever the fuck I want, song to song.
"I think that nowadays, trying to box oneself into a genre is kind of outdated; it doesn't feel like that's what's happening. I think everybody is going, 'OK, I'm going to borrow from this, that, and the other thing; these are my references, and I'll mix it all together in some new way.'"
He added: "I think there's going to be some new sounds on this album that I haven't really gone into before, and some stuff that's very signature me, and some stuff that's a little retro, but not too retro…" © Click Music

- Justin Bieber's musical director and guitarist Dan Kanter caught one of Adam Lambert and Queen's concerts earlier this week and revealed that he was incredibly impressed by the former 'American Idol' star's vocal ability.
Last night July 28th, Kanter told his 1.39 million Twitter followers that he was blown away by Lambert's performance with iconic rock band Queen at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Monday evening: "Shoutout to the incredibly talented and down to earth @adamlambert! Your voice has no ceiling. #Queen."
Upon seeing the tweet, the 'Trespassing' sensation replied publicly and thanked him for the kind words of appreciation and admiration: "Hey, thanks for the shoutout @dankanter! Glad you liked the show!"
Lambert and Queen will head to Australia later in August to resume the tour, with the first date down under taking place on August 22 at the Perth Arena. The Australian leg will then conclude on September 1 with a show at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
