American Idol bosses admit it would be 'great' to get Adam Lambert back!

Rumours have been circulating for months, with insiders implying that Adam Lambert, Jennifer Hudson and Jennifer Lopez will all be on the panel, replacing departing judges Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey and Randy Jackson who have all vacated their roles.

Adam Lambert returns to the studio

Adam Lambert has made his return to the studio.

Quote :: The singer's last album 'Trespassing' was released in 2012 and he recently recorded vocals for Avicii's upcoming track 'Lay Me Down'.

Fans have been eager to find out when Lambert would next return to the recording studio - and it seems their wish has been granted.

The vocal powerhouse uploaded a photo of himself at a microphone on Instagram drinking from a glass.

Whilst the image is an old one, Lambert's rep confirmed to Pressparty that the singer is indeed back working in the studio.
