Adam Lambert wants to offer One Direction a route into the rock world.
The boyband have said they’re keen to toughen up their sound. And Adam, who performs with Queen at London’s hmv Hammersmith Apollo this summer, has some tracks he thinks would fit the bill.
The 30-year-old, heading for No 1 in the US album charts with Trespassing, told me: “There’s a lot of songs that didn’t make the album that are really strong. We did some pop-rock stuff, so maybe one of these new boybands could do one.
“Those One Direction boys are cool.”
Adam, whose single Close Our Eyes drops June 24, added: “I’d love for someone else to sing some of those songs.”
Trespassing is out in the UK on July 2. See hmvapollo.net for gig tickets.
