Press Party : Adam Lambert: 'I have more in common with current female artists'
Quote :
Superstar Adam Lambert is due to unveil his brand new sophomore album, 'Trespassing', next week in the USA and explained that as an artist he seems to defy the typical genre boundaries.
Although the 'Better Than I Know Myself' hitmaker admitted to Billboard.com that he sees himself as a pop act, he opened up about how his new record merges sounds and styles to the point where he can't identify fully with his contemporaries - especially the male singers:
There's not a blueprint for me to follow. There are female artists I can look at that I find more in common with than the male artists, because they're blending the pop, dance and theatricality . . . but currently there aren't a lot of guys who go there........... continue reading
Adam Lambert doesn’t try to p*ss people off
Quote :
Adam Lambert doesn’t intentionally try and p*ss people off.The sexy singer is known for his “controversial” behaviour – but he doesn’t do it to get a rise out of people.
When asked by pridesource.com if anything shocking he does is premeditated, Adam said: “No, I don’t think, ‘OK, I want to p*ss people off now’ or ‘I want to shock people.’
“I kind of, especially after the (American Music Awards), go with what I want to do musically. That’s been more in the forefront for me in my decision-making. I think just kind of being, and being unapologetic for being, is a risk in and of itself in today’s music industry.”
Speaking about whether his AMA kiss was a good move for him, Adam replied: “I don’t even know. I was in such autopilot.
“It was one of those weird moments that just kind of happened. Some of the choreography earlier in the number was planned but that whole moment with him was just, ‘Oh my god, now we’re kissing!’”
Softpedia : Adam Lambert “Trespassing” – Album Review
Quote :
Back in 2009, Adam Lambert followed up on his American Idol success with his first studio material, the chart-topping “For Your Entertainment.” His sophomore album, “Trespassing,” will be out this Tuesday, May 15, 2012 – and it's just as fresh, exciting and groundbreaking as its predecessor.
Fans (Glamberts) must already know that Adam took his time with this second release, pushing it back twice, until he was fully satisfied with it. He produced many of the tracks on it, while assembling a dream team for the rest.
This is Adam, and this is why fans love him so much: not only is he painfully talented, but he's also a consummate professional, always thinking of the fans and striving to deliver the best he can offer at one particular moment.
“Trespassing” is no exception. Though embracing more the trends in today's dance music, which it combines with pregnant electronica, '80s disco dance and rock influences, the album marks a step up for Adam as an artist......continue reading

Popledge : ADAM LAMBERT – TRESPASSING (Track by Track)
Quote :
Trespassing – Adam kicks off the album with a whole load of attitude and aggression. Adam said earlier this year that he wanted this track to say ‘“fuck you, I’m fierce!” he definitely achieves this with the opening song. It’s very Queen-esq in it’s musical structure, especially the bass line, but the crazy vocal tricks and licks are 100% Adam Lambert. In terms of vocal range Lambert takes some beating, Muse’s Matt Bellamy is the only person who I think comes anywhere near to his falsetto range. Excellent anthemic opener – the electronic guitar at the end of the track is the perfect finish. Cuckoo – The first time I heard this track I felt it should have been a single, this could be Lambert’s personal track that speaks to his fans in the way that I think Lady Gaga is excellent at achieving, ‘I wanna lose my mind like a maniac…and we’ve gone Cuckoo, gonna party till they take us away’ I want to be there with Adam living this party! Vocally and production-wise it’s half a crazy 80′s vibe mixed with some pure pop moments.........continue reading
