Speaking with NovaFM's Merrick Dools and Ricki-Lee, the singer said it was like having to tweak gay or over-sexualised parts of his show to be more of a family affair.
"Their government kind of filters who comes in to perform for their country and they were a little more conservative," he said. "In fact, I think, it was like taking my show and saying 'pretend you're performing the show for grandma and grandpa'."
Adam Lambert took his Glam Nation tour to Sydney tonight, and as usual the controversy wasn't far behind -- well its not really controversy, rather a dash of bad luck.
The singer - whilst revving up the crowd to mammoth proportions, was ferociously scouting the audience for a person to "rock pash" as he regularly does as part of his show…
Adam Lambert transformed Sydney’s Enmore Theatre into Glam Nation last night with skin-tight leather, feathers, rhinestones and pelvic gyrations galore.
Opening with tracks Voodoo, For Your Entertainment and Down The Rabbit Hole, Lambert (or The Glambert as he’s affectionately known) looked like a P.I.M.P. in D.R.A.G. as his four dancers worshipped him through animalistic choreography.
“It’s time to step into the mystery, ladies and gentlemen,” he said. The crowd screamed as he pounded his fist to his crotch and body rolled all over bassist Tommy Joe Ratliff. On bended knee Lambert trilled into a fiendish version of Ring Of Fire. He grabbed Ratliff by the hair and recreated his 2009 AMA’s controversy for us; if only Johnny Cash could see him now.
Last night (well, tonight here), Adam Lambert was in fantasyland as he got frisky in Sydney, kissing a front row fan during his Glam Nation performance in New South Wales.
Being in Australia and at the Enmore Theatre was a complete contrast to the singing sensation's recent concert in Malaysia where the showman toned down his act due to the mores expected in that Southeast Asian nation.
It was naughty fun for Adam Lambert at his Glam Nation show in Sydney’s Enmore Theatre last night as he got intimate with a fan in the front row.
After behaving himself during last week’s concert in Malaysia – where homosexuality is illegal – Glambert was keen to let his hair down in Oz.
Mid-way through his energetic live show, the singer hopped down into the crowd and looked around for a suitable fan to lip-lock with.
A young shirtless blond dude was eager to get close to the American Idol star, and the crowd cheered as they kissed while his mates jealously looked on.
Another young fan in the front row later told Same Same that he’d also been keen for a kiss. “He looked at me at the start of the show as I was cheering so I was hoping he’d see me when he was looking for kisses – I was right up at the front!”
