| Subject: Adam Lambert sells 35,000 singles, down on Digital Songs chart 23.09.10 19:34 | |

- If Adam Lambert continues at the rate he is going with "If I Had You" single sales, then we will very likely see a major accomplishment in two weeks' time. According to the newest numbers courtesy of USA Today, the "American Idol" singer managed to push out 35,000 copies of the popular song in the past week. This marks only a 6% drop from the week before, and it also puts him at the impressive overall total of 448,000 copies.
Translating this over to Billboard's Digital Songs chart, the decrease in sales led to a fall to #41, down six spots from the previous position. While it may seem easy to be down about this, it ended up being an extremely competitive week on the sales chart. Rihanna managed to decimate everyone with the release of her new track "Only Girl (In the World)," and many of the other chart behemoths stayed around for another week.
For those wondering, "Whataya Want From Me" managed to increase its total to 1.532 million after selling an additional 9,000 copies this week. http://www.examiner.com/tv-in-national/american-idol-adam-lambert-sells-35-000-singles-down-on-digital-songs-chart | |
