- We heard on Thursday how Adam Lambert was faring on some of Billboard's more generic music charts -- so how about the specific ones geared towards pop music? Let's take a look at the "American Idol" singer's performances with "If I Had You":
Pop Songs: 18 (last week: 18)
Sometimes, staying the same can very much be a good thing. When you were in the top 20 of an extremely competitive chart, this is one occasion where consistency is surely rewarded. Since so much of this chart is determined by top 40 airplay, there is an easy way for him to move up here.
Adult Pop Songs: 19 (last week: 20)
For Adam on this chart, we are looking at what can best be described as a slow climb in the right direction. Six weeks after debuting on the chart, Adam has worked his way steadily up to his current position -- one certainly worth bragging about. There are only a few songs higher on the chart right now with fiewer weeks on board the chart, meaning that he is certainly doing something right. http://www.examiner.com/tv-in-national/american-idol-adam-lambert-still-staying-strong-on-pop-charts

- This week on the top 40 chart, we continue to see the steady rise of Adam Lambert as he tries to become one of the strongest 15 songs in terms of overall airplay. While he might not be there yet, the future is still bright for the next couple of weeks.
"If I Had You" rose up one spot this week to #17 on the chart, and picked up an additional 257 spins in the process. It now has 4,691 spins just on this chart alone, and there is a large gap between any songs behind it. Adam will likely pass Jason Derulo in the next 24 hours to move up to #16, and will then have to likely wait for B.o.B. to drop with one of his two hits in order for him to move up even further.
On the Hot AC chart Sunday, the increase in spin count is actually even higher -- 280, which is quite a feat when you consider that this makes up a larger percentage of Adam's 1,467 spins. He is still sitting at #20 on this chart for yet another week, and could very well stay there for even longer once you consider some of the competition that is working its way up the chart. http://www.examiner.com/tv-in-national/american-idol-adam-lambert-nears-highest-part-of-radio-airplay-chart
