- It's been a busy week for Adam Lambert fans, meaning that this report is coming just a little bit later than usual this week. That being said, there's still some interesting developments happening for the "American Idol" singer when it comes to pushing albums out into the marketplace.
According to USA Today, Adam sold an additional 5,000 copies this week of "For Your Entertainment," driven partially be people potentially looking to buy "If I Had You" and deciding instead to go for the full album. This is a 9% drop from the week before, but it is still good enough for him to be ranked #77 on the Billboard 200 -- and for him to be at 708,000 total sold.
One of the biggest tests for Adam's domestic sales is going to come within a month and a half, as he takes off for the Asian and European legs of the Glam Nation Tour. With him away from the United States for an extended period of time, will he still be able to get as many albums off the shelves? Much of it may depend on radio airplay and what he decides to release as a new single down the road. http://www.examiner.com/tv-in-national/american-idol-adam-lambert-stays-top-100-of-album-chart | |
