| Subject: The AMAs recognize Justin Bieber, Ke$ha -- what about Adam Lambert 16.07.10 5:50 | |
| - Quote :
- Is Adam Lambert getting shunned by the American Music Awards following the much-discussed 2009 performance? The awards show's Twitter page posed a popular question on Wednesday -- but it's one that leaves the "American Idol" singer out of the mix.
Here are the choices the awards show presents for favorite artist of 2010 thus far:
* Drake * B.o.B. * Ke$ha * Jason Derulo * Justin Bieber
Here is where the debate truly begins. First of all, you have to include Bieber just on the basis of fan base alone. Drake also has to be there, due to both the recognition in album sales and fan support.
Now, we can have a debate. Has Ke$ha, Derulo, or B.o.B. been more influential than Adam this year? All four of them have Billboard top ten hits -- Lambert, however, has the most dedicated fan base of the group (he also has a MuchMusic Video Award to his name).
Do you think it would have been a sign of good faith if the AMAs decided to include Adam Lambert, or do you just think they felt the other artists were more deserving?
