TEEN CHOICE 2010 will celebrate the hottest teen icons in film, television, music, sports and fashion in the choicest, star-studded two-hour event airing Monday, Aug. 9 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. “Iron Man 2” and “Gossip Girl” lead the TEEN CHOICE 2010 nominees with six nominations each, while GLEE and “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” each garnered five nominations.

Starting today, fans ages 13-19 can vote once each day for their favorite TEEN CHOICE 2010 nominees at www.teenchoiceawards.com. Performers, presenters and additional nominees will be announced soon.

Additionally, Invisalign Teen joins Dr Pepper as a sponsor of TEEN CHOICE 2010. As an extension of its partnership, Invisalign Teen has launched the Straight to Stardom Sweepstakes with a grand prize VIP package for four to TEEN CHOICE 2010 in Los Angeles and other prizes.

Music nominations list are led by Taylor Swift, Drake and Usher of this year’s Teen Choice Awards.
Taylor will have a showdown with Miley Cyrus, Ke$ha, Lady GaGa and Shakira in Choice Female Artist. Additionally, she is battling Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood and Gretchen Wilson in Choice Female Country Artist.

For Drake and Usher,they are nominated in Choice Male Artist where Justin Bieber, Jason Derulo and Adam Lambert join them in the battle. This is the second nomination for Drake in Choice Rap Artist, going head to head with Eminem, Jay-Z, Ludacris and Pitbull.

Meanwhile, Usher gets in Choice R&B Artist along with Beyonce Knowles, Alicia Keys, Rihanna and Trey Songz.

Other nominees are Paramore which are up for Choice Rock Group along with Kings of Leon, MGMT, Muse and Train. In the Choice Group, “Glee” cast have the likes of Black Eyed Peas, Selena Gomez & The Scene, New Boyz and Young Money as heavy competitors.

The 12th Annual Teen Choice Awards is going to be viewed live on Fox Monday, August 9 at 8:00-10:00 P.M. ET/PT.

Katy Perry will be hosting the event. Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus, Christina Aguilera and Miranda Cosgrove are rumored to be added to the line-up.

She's up for Choice Movie Actress: Drama for her work in "The Last Song," Choice Movie: Dance for her footwork with co-star Liam Hemsworth in "The Last Song" and Choice Music: Female Artist. In the Choice Movie: Fantasy category, "New Moon" will try and suck the blood out of "Alice in Wonderland," "Clash of the Titans," "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" and "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time." Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson are both nominated for Choice Movie Actor: Fantasy, while Kristen Stewart has been nominated for Choice Movie Actress: Fantasy.

"Glee," "Gossip Girl," and "The Vampire Diaries" will vie for surfboards, and so will their stars: "Vampire Diaries" stars Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are nominated for acting awards, as are Jane Lynch, Corey Monteith and Lea Michele from "Glee." Five "Gossip Girl" cast members — Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick — are also up for acting awards.

Although she hasn't been on the show this season, former "Hills" star Lauren Conrad will face off against current "Hills" star Kristin Cavallari for Choice TV: Female Reality/Variety Star. Their competition includes "Jersey Shore" star Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, whose co-stars Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino and Paul "DJ Pauly D" DelVecchio are up for Choice TV: Male Reality/Variety Star against "Hills" star Brody Jenner.
