- Every week when you look at the international sales numbers for Adam Lambert, one thing constantly stands up -- the "American Idol" singer has just as much success in other countries as he does in the United States.
One of our clearest examples of this comes courtesy of our friends north of the border -- in Canada this week, "Whataya Want From Me" is situated at the #15 spot on Billboard's Canadian Hot 100. After peaking at #3 earlier this year, the song has stayed on the chart for 24 straight weeks. Only Jason Derulo's "In My Head" has been on the chart longer while holding a position higher than Adam's. "If I Had You" debuted on the Canadian Hot 100 last week at #90 (making it the first country where it has done so), but has yet to make any forward progress.
In terms of other countries, "WWFM" finds itself at #23 on the European Hot 100 in its third week of release across the pond (a slight step down from its peak at #21) -- the single has experienced its broadest success thus far in Germany, where "For Your Entertainment" has also sold very well.
All in all, there are no major surges to report on the international front this week -- "For Your Entertainment" is holding steady on album charts everywhere from Japan to here in the United States. | |
