Director: Bryan Barber Date: May 12, 2010, est. 6:00 pm ALL NIGHT SHOOT Location: Los Angeles, CA
Video Overview: This music video is set in a dark but beautiful forest, where we experience a surreal light show, similar to the Northern Lights of Norway. We are here for an artistic gathering of all types of people, to socialize, dance and party while taking in this display of beauty and mystery.
[ 27 PEOPLE NEEDED FOR BACKGROUND ] Ages 18-27, male or female, any race, nationality or sexual orientation. The cast should run the gamut of diversity. All extras will be in background shots dancing or “hanging out.” Nothing matters except having a great time with each other. We are looking for creative, artistic, eccentric types with their own personal style. Your wardrobe for the video should be the ultimate form of artistic expression. An example of a “Type” would be The Burning Man festival. Actor must provide his or her own wardrobe on the shoot. Therefore, if called in for an audition, you must wear your outfit to the session, that you would wear to the video shoot. via MJs Blog http://candyglam.com/2010/05/casting-for-adams-new-video/

| Shoot’s a wrap, fans are now waiting for release
- Quote :
- Adam Lambert fans can now breathe easy knowing that the wait ahead of them just got shorter: the singer has just finished working on his latest music video, for the single “If I Had You.” Adam made the announcement on his Twitter page a short while ago but, unfortunately, he failed to offer more specifics about the vid, thus keeping fans guessing for at least a while longer.
Some details emerged the other day, when a casting call started to make the rounds on the Internet, asking for people who were skilled in playing with fire (literally) in order to have them considered for an appearance in the video. Also then, it was speculated the entire shoot would take just one night somewhere in Los Angeles. Still, other than it was supposed to render a “magical” yet dark experience, not much was known about the concept.
“That’s a wrap. Whew! Big thanks to the amazing cast and crew of the If I Had You music video!!” Adam wrote on his Twitter page. If one were to put two and two together, one might as well conclude that the “If I Had You” video might bear some resemblance with the “For Your Entertainment” one, which saw Adam surrounded by dancers, both male and female, in a very clubby towards decadent scenery, having the time of their life.
“What to expect from Adam Lambert’s ‘If I Had You’ music video has been revealed. The clip is going to feature fire performers as according to a casting call, his camp are looking for ‘people who can fire eat, fire breath, fire juggle, fire twirl, etc.’ ‘This music video is set in a dark but beautiful forest, where we experience a surreal light show, similar to the Northern Lights of Norway,’ the video overview read. ‘We are here for an artistic gathering of all types of people, to socialize, dance and party while taking in this display of beauty and mystery’,” AceShowbiz was reporting the other day, citing from the casting call.
Bryan Barber directed Adam Lambert’s music video for his latest single, “For Your Entertainment.” On the downside, still no word on when music channels might start airing it, but do keep an eye on this space for updates on this.

- Adam Lambert looked like he was channeling the ghost of Ziggy Stardust on the set of the video for his latest single, "If I Had You." Filmed early Thursday morning in Los Angeles' Griffith Park, the clip looks like it will be a typically over-the-top affair with lots of elaborate costumes, face paint and a woodsy setting, where last year's "American Idol" runner-up hosts a kind of Cirque du Soleil dance party.
Before the shoot, Lambert tweeted on Wednesday, "Gearing up for an all night video shoot for 'If I Had You,' " which he followed with the tidbit, "Invited a bunch of my performer friends to cameo in the video. It's gonna be one big happy family!" Lambert, you might recall, was a frequent contributor to Los Angeles' anything-goes "Zodiac Show" before auditioning for "Idol," where he often shared the stage with circus-like performers while singing in outrageous, glitter-splashed costumes.
While a spokesperson for Lambert could not be reached for comment on the shoot, a reported casting call sent out a request for all manner of fire eaters, jugglers and twirlers for the clip, helmed by veteran director Bryan Barber (Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera).
In a still released from the shoot, Lambert sports silver-and-black Kiss-style sparkly platform boots studded with metal spikes, white jeans and a white shirt underneath his signature spike-shoulder leather jacket, with a black lightning bolt painted over his left eye.
Once the shoot for the third single from his debut album, For Your Entertainment, wrapped, Lambert breathed a sign of relief, tweeting, "That's a wrap. Whew!" He added, "Big thanks to the amazing cast and crew of the 'If I Had You' music video!!" http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1639269/20100514/lambert_adam_american_idol_.jhtml

- What to expect from Adam Lambert's "If I Had You" music video has been revealed. The "For Your Entertainment" singer opened up that the Bryan Barber-directed clip will "get kind of psychedelic." The video was filmed at Griffith Park, Calif. on May 12 night and during the pre dawn hours on Thursday, May 13. "It's about the love that you have with your circle of people that you surround yourself with," he told MTV about its premise.
On the inspiration, he stated, "I was inspired by the parties that I've gone to in the past, like Burning Man and this other party called Lightning in a Bottle. There's a big kind of subculture in California and around the country of people who are designers and performance artists, just free spirits that like to come together and play dress-up and have a good time."
Adam claimed the clip will be a gathering of "one big happy family" because he invited many of his friends to make cameo appearances. "There's a real authentic joy," he gushed. "And it gets kind of psychedelic. There's just gonna be a lot of special effects ... Some are from [Los Angeles variety extravaganza] 'The Zodiac Show', some are from parties [and] clubs. ... Some of them I've done theater with. It's a big variety of people."
A number of pictures were already out for sneak peek, featuring Adam rocking high platform shoes. And, he was surprised to find out that matter because he initially wanted to keep it secret. "It's funny 'cause I wanted to keep that whole thing a secret. I think there were paparazzi camped out on the hillside," he explained. http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00032567.html
