'American Idol' Makes It Official With 'Dream Team' Panel
Harry Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban begin production
on the show's 13th season on Sept. 3 in Boston.

It's official: Fox has named Harry Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban as American Idol's newest judges panel.
The trio will kick off production on season 13 on Tuesday, Sept. 3, in Boston.
"I have always been a huge fan of American Idol and really enjoyed my time as a mentor on the show," said Connick, whom The Hollywood Reporter last week confirmed would serve as a judge. "And I am honored that they’ve asked me to be a judge this season. As an entertainer, I am truly excited to bring my perspective to American Idol, and to help emerging performers find their way."
