Why Won't American Idol Hire Jennifer Hudson or Adam Lambert as Judges?

Inexplicably, however, the producers seem to be ignoring two of Idol's biggest stars: Adam Lambert and Jennifer Hudson.

In an op-ed for The Wrap, columnist Jethro Nededog argues that the show is foolish to pass over the two artists, both of whom have found widespread success after their tenure as Idol contestants — and both of whom have expressed interest in becoming judges.

"Hudson and Lambert would make excellent choices for judges," Jethro opines. "Not only would they remind the show's viewers of its ability to make stars even if one doesn't win — star-making is the biggest thing that separates Idol from its competitors currently — but they both also have careers that would stand up against most artists in the industry today.
