Adam Lambert has been on a winning streak since coming in second on American Idol in 2009.
My Paper caught up with the 31-year-old ahead of his first full-length Singapore show next Friday.
You executive-produced Trespassing, your second album. How important is it for you to have full control over your material?
I wanted, as much as I could, to put my own stamp on that album. I felt that I owed fans that as a "thank you" for their loyalty.
American Idol this season has seen a slew of unconventional contes-tants.
Do you think, having been one of the more flamboyant and outspoken contestants, that you've opened up a new market for the show?
Yeah, I noticed that, too... It's a diverse group. There are all types (of people on the show) this year. Sexuality has been treated as more of a non-issue, which makes me think that we are moving forward as a society, as far as acceptance goes.
