Adam Lambert v Gene Simmons

I really hate to see this type of snark get started. My husband thinks Simmons was being obnoxious and that Adam's comments were justified. But I thought Adam's comments were a little strong. I don't know that Simmons was trying to be malicious. With careful wording, our painfully truthful Rock God could have used psyco-tactics to defuse Simmons by making it appear that Simmons was honestly concerned for his success - "It's very nice of Gene to be concerned about my future. Thank you, Gene, I know you have my best interests at heart". Simmons would then have had to "put up" or "shut up", and Adam comes out looking like a really nice guy. But no sense in making an enemy out of Gene. After all, Kiss was on the Idol finale on Adam's behalf, IMO.
