- If a new movie and some interpretations of Mayan prophesy are to be believed, the world may end in 2012. Happily, for fans of Adam Lambert, it looks like the “American Idol” runner-up will have new music for his devotees to listen to well before then. The glam-rock vocalist, who built a following during his run on the show, has a song featured on the soundtrack to the coming apocalyptic movie “2012.” The song hasn’t been released yet in the U.S., but it has been issued abroad. The song is called “Time for Miracles.” It’s an Aerosmithy power ballad that starts all earthy and sincere before building to a wailing climax. The new song is already facing some complaints that it sounds too much like Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss A Thing,” from another disaster flick, the 1998 movie “Armageddon.” Lambert’s solo album, “For Your Entertainment,” is due out November 23. The soundtrack to “2012″ comes out Nov. 10.
