[quote]The Idols Live tour has bittersweetly come to an end after a staggeringly successful 52-date run, but for many of the season 8 American Idol top 10, it's just a beginning--a chance for them to finally stop singing other people's songs and really show the world what they can do with their own original material, as they prepare to embark on solo careers.
This is of course true of season 8 breakout star Adam Lambert, whose devoted diehard fans--Glamberts, Lambskanks, Adamaniacs, whatever you prefer to call them--eagerly await the November release of both his 2012 movie theme "Time For Miracles" and his full debut album. For Adam, the end of the Idols Live tour gives him a welcome chance to truly concentrate on finishing his big statement record, to put the final touches on the music his devotees are chewing their black-painted nails to nubs in excitement to hear.
I recently had the chance to catch up with Adam backstage at the second-to-last Idols Live tourdate in Syracuse, where we talked about the maniacal fandom he's encountered on tour and how he's stayed grounded while dealing with that sort of insanity; how he's using his newfound fame to expose his fans to cool new music and ideas; and what his upcoming recordings will sound like.
But of course, as should be the case with any good interview with the Glamerican Idol, our chat began with some fashion babble, namely about the fabulous Chanel necklace he was rocking and the gorgeous kimono his tourmate Allison Iraheta was wearing that day (both presents from fans with impeccable taste). Check out our fashionable interview below! [quote]
