Queen hail 'organic' Adam Lambert collaboration - Quote :
- Queen say their coming together with Adam Lambert was "organic".
The singer is currently touring with the British veterans and they recently completed a huge North American run.
The vocal powerhouse came to Queen's attention when he appeared on American Idol in 2009 and since then they have worked sporadically.
Speaking to Australia's Today, guitarist Brian May said that meeting Lambert has encouraged the group to tour again.
He said: "I never thought [touring] would happen again. If it hadn't been for Adam coming along in a kind of organic meeting process then this would never have happened."
Drummer Roger Taylor added: "He's a man who has the range, the theatricality and the charisma and the humour."

Easy Come, Easy Go, Little High, Little Low: A Comparison of Adam Lambert and Freddie Mercury's Voices - Sally Bartlett wrote:
- Now that Adam Lambert is touring with iconic band Queen as their "new boy" and packing houses and getting rave reviews everywhere they go, the comparison between Adam and Freddie Mercury continues. Although Adam has said over and over, with many music people, reporters and analysts agreeing, that he is NOT trying to mimic, take the place of or copy Freddie, the debate continues.
Let's do our own comparison of the two and first point out their similarities and reasons why Adam, who was only 9 when Freddie died of AIDS in 1991, is a very good replacement for the second act. Glamberts: I do not say that negatively or take Adam's name in vain, let's all agree (and I am Glambert number 444, that Freddie and Queen were the ultimate FIRST act). Freddie is gone; Queen believed the show was over; along comes Adam Lambert and now THE SHOW CAN GO ON!............continues on Clip.net
Top 10 rock bands to see live in concert in 2014 - Markos Papadatatos wrote:
- The summer of 2014 is coming to a close and was afforded to privilege to review many great concerts in New York. Here are my Top 10 favorite rock bands that I saw live, arranged in no particular order.
Queen featuring Adam Lambert: Adam Lambert paid homage to the late Freddie Mercury while performing with the iconic rock band Queen at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He belted out the high notes, and proved to be a true force to be reckoned with. He had big shoes to fill, but Lambert did his absolute best. He had great stage presence as did guitar master Brian May and Roger Taylor, who impressed on drums. Their versions of "We Are The Champions," "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "We Will Rock You" were stellar..........see the top ten on Digital Journal
