Adam Lambert is set to join Queen for their North American tour, which kicks off in June. Tickets go on sale Friday March 14.
The legendary band and American Idol alum made the announcement on March 6. Lambert, who has been performing on and off with Queen as lead vocalist since 2009, will be playing 19 dates with the band throughout June and July, stopping in Los Angeles, New York, Las Vegas and more.
"To get to be onstage with these two rock royalty members...honestly, Queen is the quintessential rock band of all time...they’ve influenced bands for years," Lambert said on Good Morning America, where he appeared with original Queen members Roger Taylor and Brian May

Adam dropped a major bombshell late last week with the announcement that he and Queen will be embarking on a North American summer tour. It will start in Chicago on June 19th, and conclude on July 20th in D.C.

Rocker Brian May has revealed that if people don't like the fact that vocal sensation Adam Lambert is now going to front iconic band Queen for a full tour of North America they can just avoid listening to the music.
Speaking about the addition of Lambert to band's current live line-up, May explained that there are always going to be fans who disagree with such decisions, but if they don't like it he thinks it's just tough luck: "If you concentrate on the negative you’re not going to get anywhere. It’s very important to have your focus, and you play to people who want to hear us. Anyone that doesn’t want to hear us, thanks, goodbye. No problem."
