His sky high pompadour spiked in gold, Adam Lambert rocked the main stage at Miami Beach's Gay Pride Week, and, just as he finished, a fireworks display burst in the sky, bringing the 5th annual event to a triumphant close.
The popular singer's concert marked the end of the annual celebration with festival organizers estimating that a total of 80,000 had attended at least some of the festivities, which included a block party, parade, festivals, and performances. On Sunday, Miami Beach Mayor Matti Bower led the city's Gay Pride parade as the grand marshal, accompanied by Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. The seven-block parade saw a record number of floats, bands and marchers, during which the city's "Legacy Couples," were also honored.
