Adam Lambert performs duet with Cyndi Lauper at charity show

Adam Lambert joined singer Cyndi Lauper on stage for a duet in New York on Saturday (December 8).

Former American Idol contestant Lambert and Lauper shared the stage at the Beacon Theater

Together the two covered 'Mad World' by Tears for Fears, which Lambert performed during season eight of American Idol.

Their collaboration was to benefit Lauper's charity organisation the True Colours Fund, which was established in 2008.

Proceeds from the concert will be donated to help homeless LGBT youth via the foundation's Forty to None project.

Performers Sarah McLachlan, St. Vincent, Jason Mraz, Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O'Donnell and more also attended the 'Cyndi Lauper and Friends: Home for the Holidays' event
