ABC News Radio : Adam Lambert's Finally Getting Used to "Weird, Surreal" Life as a Star
Quote :
As a former American Idol finalist as well as a gay celebrity, Adam Lambert is probably more under the microscope than your average pop star. But he says now that he's reached the sophomore album stage -- he released his second album, Trespassing, a few months ago -- he says he's much more able to deal with fame and the scrutiny that comes along with it.
"I'm more comfortable with all of it now," he tells ABC News Radio. "I think, you know, there's no handbook and when it all happened so fast with something like Idol, it is a little like a dream come true, and it's really exciting, but it's also a bit disorienting."...........continue reading

Star Observer Au : Lambert: All we want is love

Given he’s been compared to the late, great Freddie Mercury ever since his initial audition for American Idol way back in 2008 (singing Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody, no less) it seems fitting Adam Lambert’s now juggling his successful solo career with an occasional sideline gig as frontman for the band.
When the Star Observer spoke to him in London, he was still on a high from the previous night’s gig with Queen in Kiev, performing to his largest-ever audience of a quarter of a million people. continue reading
The gay stars performing at the Olympics closing ceremony and THAT David Bowie rumour …
Quote :
Not many gay performers have been asked for the Olympics closing ceremony, sadly (no Elton John surprisingly.) But George Michael and The Pet Shop Boys are due to perform. Also expected is Adam Lambert as whispers are he will join Queen during their session as he has done on tour for the last few months.
Meanwhile, there are rumours flying around that David Bowie is in London rehearsing for the Olympics at Studio 19 in Hackney. This seems unlikely, though Bowie might be in London to produce the remix of his hits “Fashion” and “Rebel Rebel” that will be used during the ceremony. A tribute to British fashion will see supermodels Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Stella Tennant, Lily Cole and Georgia Jagger (no Lara Stone??) strut down a catwalk to these Bowie songs. There is hope that Bowie will make some sort of appearance introducing the songs via a special pre-recorded message.
