Adam Lambert Taps Pharrell & Dr. Luke
For A Beat-Heavy New Album

Adam Lambert, who's pompadour first blipped on our gaydar with his glam rock inspirations on American Idol, is ready to evolve. For his next LP (titled Trespassing), Adam tells Rolling Stone that he "hopes to find his voice," and has tapped beat pioneers like Pharrell and Britney's right-hand-man Dr. Luke to show him the way.
Not entirely washing out his heavy-metal roots with a four-on-the-floor sound, Adam tells RS that his upcoming dance LP will feature songs that "There's party music, sex music, f*cked-up-relationship S&M music. Glambert goes on to add that "every song explores something real."
Along with heavy-weights Pharrell and Dr. Luke, Adam's also drafted Bonnie McKee, co-writer of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream," and Chic's Nile Rodgers. Rogers is helping the openly-gay pop star with a track called "Shady," which Lambert describes as "Nine Inch Nails meets Saturday Night Fever."
