Adam Lambert never holds back and he knows just how important the spotlight can be for a message. As part of the Do Something Awards on Thursday night airing on VH1, the entertainer shares just how important it is for stars to get involved in helping causes.
Calling it a ‘duty’ the celebrity seems to feel that people who have the spotlight needs to share it with causes and charities that are bigger than the entertainers, especially ones that need help. Making a whole lot of sense, the star has a valid point that could really push social, health and justice issues to the forefront of everyone’s mind.
“I think as celebrities it is our duty to lend our visibility and notoriety to causes to greater than ourselves. That is something I am trying to do this year. This award show celebrates that,” said Adam Lambert.
Adam along with Rose McGowan will present Tyra Banks with an award.
Not available in UK but no doubt on Youtube shortly after.
So which Adam has come out tops – Lambert or Levine?

So we ran a poll to find out which Adam our readers liked best – here’s the result.
They’re both male singers, they both have millions of fans, they’re both smokin’ hot and they’re both called Adam, so naturally we wanted to know which Adam was best.
It’s only a bit of fun, and both Adam Lambert and Adam Levine more than qualify for the title “Best Adam”.
Both have enjoyed huge musical success (Adam La solo and Adam Le with his band Maroon 5), both have done their bit for charity, both ooze sex appeal – with millions of male and female adoring fans… what it all boils down to, is preference.
Zimbio have added Adams playlist to their website.......pity they didn't use a newer pic though!

Anyone who watched Adam Lambert systematically own his season of American Idol knows that the artfully coiffed singer has a deep love and appreciation for glam rock pioneer David Bowie (those not in the know should be sure to watch Lambert writhe his way through a Bowie medley live in San Jose here). And anyone who spotted the facial hair Lambert sported for a hot minute in April 2011 would be able to guess that the dude might have a thing for George Michael.
But beyond the San Diego native's obvious inspirations—Freddie Mercury, Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger, Prince—what's Adam listening to?
Since the first days of his stardom, Adam's been singing Lady Gaga's praises. On ABC's Nightline, he explained, ""I think Lady Gaga is great and is changing pop music and bringing back a certain rock 'n' roll spirit, swagger to the game."
