Adam Lambert Takes On “Bully” Michele Bachmann

Adam Lambert usually does not like to stray into politics. He said so on Twitter, but that has not stopped him from hitting out at Michele “Stepford Wife” Bachmann, the anti-gay/anti-woman Republican from Minnesota. Lambert took to Twitter to comment about Michele Bachmann’s recent interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press” moderator David Gregory. Lambert wrote in three different tweets:
“ yup girl, your views are too clear: you’re an extremely ignorant woman who just grins when she’s called out. No thanks”
“I usually steer clear of politics but she is a bully. Kids get teased in school by offspring of this type of parent.”
“@OrangeSlushie her view IS ignorant. She is stereotyping and generalizing the lifestyle as one kind of life. We are way more diverse!”
It’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve had any airplay numbers to share when it comes to Adam Lambert, and one of the reasons behind it simply due to familiarity — not much is changing when we look from one week to the next, and that largely has to do with the fact that “Whataya Want From Me” has become such a steady hit 18 months after its release that the spin count does not tent to fluctuate much.
Take for instance the new numbers (which were discovered this time by USA Today). “Whataya Want From Me” totaled 1,648 spins in the past week — and that is just a decrease of 34 spins from where the song was at two weeks ago. Airplay is going to inevitably drop slowly over time, but for this song the slow steadiness of the decline is welcome in that the spins should carry over well into the radio release for Adam’s upcoming single (whenever that may be this coming fall).

If you want to know just how hard Adam Lambert is working on this next album, all you have to do is hear this new quote about the sophomore release — the singer has had a hand in writing nearly three dozen tracks that could end up on the release.
Speaking in a new interview with “Access Hollywood” from the VH1 Do Something Awards, Adam explained just how lengthy this process has been:
“I’m just so excited to finish this album I’m working on right now, because I think [the fans are] just going to devour it.
“I’m doing a lot of writing. I have over 30 songs, 35 songs, that are in various states of completion.”
