Adam Lambert, the dazzling American Idol runner-up from Season 8, marched his Glam Nation tour to Nashville's Ryman Auditorium last night (July 7), setting his entire show ablaze with dynamic dancing, spirited singing and extravagant costume changes. He seemed more than pleased to be performing at the famed mother church of country music, emphasizing how honored he was to be there. To balance out his sexual vibe and rigorous routine, Lambert kept a tasteful and inoffensive rapport with the crowd. He filled his smoldering set with dance-heavy, buoyant beats on "Fever," "If I Had You" and his appropriately titled single, "For Your Entertainment." My mother, her friend and I had waited months to see Adam "Glambert," as we like to refer to him, and we teased our hair, wore too much eyeliner and I finally found a good reason to wear those 4-inch pumps I was saving for a special occasion. - Quote :
Adam Lambert, in all his flaming glory, proved to naysayers that Nashville music fans who jammed the Ryman Auditorium Wednesday night, are not one trick ponies.
The Ryman Auditorium is the Mother Church of country music. Among the memorabilia on display is the outrageous red sequined wardrobe of Porter Wagoner and the somber all black outfit from the original “man in black,” Johnny Cash.
Lambert wowed and dazzled the crowd. He owned the stage and fans from the moment he appeared at the top of a staircase looking a lot like the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland. - Quote :
Make no mistake: Adam Lambert is a huge, huge star.
Since coming in second in the eighth season of American Idol last year, the 28-year-old singer has all but transcended his connections to the TV show, becoming a top-tier pop star in his own right. - Quote :
When he hit New York City with his Glam Nation Tour, Adam Lambert was so warmly welcomed that fans actually lined up outside the venue with as much as 24 hours in advance, despite the scorching heat and having no place to sleep. The other night, Adam performed at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium and, though rather short (a little over an hour), his gig showed that, above anything else, he is a genuine, consummate artist, USA Today writes in a superb review of the concert. In a summer that has seen concerts and entire tours fall by the wayside, Adam Lambert has put together something impressive: A sold-out tour of large clubs and small theaters playing to a thoroughly devoted audience that comes not for the big single but to bask in the presence of the artist. Most concerts these days feel like a luxury; to his fans, an Adam Lambert concert feels like a necessity. - Quote :
What would have been an amazing night for the fan of former American Idol finalist, singer Adam Lambert was not meant to be. As the performer sang to a sold out crowd last night at the Ryman Auditorium, Mary Lou Moscheo was missing from the concert. Lambert took to Twitter to say that he dedicated the show to her.
The singer wrote to his fans:
"Tonights show was dedicated to Mary Lou Moscheo." More on ExaminerNot a review BUT an article about a reviewAdam Lambert & InternAdam Respond to Adam Gold's Critic's Pick; Madness Ensues

Q: What’s the difference between Adam Lambert fans, Nickelback fans and Richie Kotzen fans? A: Nothing, apparently. So we’ve been down this road before: Adam Gold critically decimates an artist who is used to (or should be used to, by now) critical decimation, said artist’s fans catch wind of Gold’s blurb, vicious rebuttals and hilarity ensue. Gold wrote a Critic’s Pick for Adam Lambert’s show last night at The Ryman. Before we go any further, have a look at an excerpt from Gold’s blurb on the American Idol runner-up: | |
