The Much Music Video Music Awards is almost becoming the same size as it is in America with Adam Lambert and Ke$ha joining a lineup that already included Katy Perry, host Miley Cyrus, and native Canadian Justin Bieber.
In the case of Adam, it certainly seems appropriate that he would be performing at the event. He is making a stop on his Glam Nation Tour in Toronto June 19, just one day before the MMVMAs, so he will already have plenty of rehearsed music to choose from. There is really only one mystery left for debates…will he perform “Whataya Want From Me” which helped him bag his two nominations or his new single “If I Had You?”
One can remember the intense yet unwanted drama brought on by Kanye West to the MTV Video Music Awards last year, and hope nothing remotely of that sort will happen here. But without having West nominated in any categories, the odds don’t appear as likely.
The MMVAS are being held in Toronto at Much Music and will be broadcast live beginning at 9 p.m ET, and the wristband giveaway for fans 14 years old and older with I.D. to attend the event starts at 8 a.m ET. on Saturday, June 12 at Much Music HQ at Queen And John.
It was announced Wednesday that Toronto rapper Drake leads the awards show with seven MMVAs nominations, followed by Hedley with six, and Bieber with four, whereas Ke$ha, Adam Lambert, Marianas Trench and Down with Webster have two nods each.
The MMVAS from Toronto Much Music will be broadcast live, beginning at 9 p.m ET.

"American Idol" finalist Adam Lambert traveled up to Toronto, Canada Sunday, June 20 to the MuchMusic Video Awards. His "Whataya Want From Me" video was nominated for International Video -- Artist and UR Fav International Video.
The video won the UR Fav award and in accepting, Adam joked, "I usually don't win things. I'm usually the runner-up." He was there amidst other music stars like Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Ke$ha and screen stars like Shenae Grimes, Nina Dobrev and the "Twilight" gang of Kellan Lutz, Ashley Greene and Xavier Samuel.
