Adam Lambert tops on Hot 100 among alum

Should we expect a shake-up soon? Typically the "Idol" winner and runner-up have fairly high debuts for their new singles -- though Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox actually covered old songs rather than performing a new number.

As for people with an "Idol" connection, Miley Cyrus (who served as a mentor earlier this season) debuted at #8 for her controversial new song "Can't Be Tamed." Meanwhile, the cast of "Glee" (who followed up the show this year on Tuesday nights) saw their version of "Dream On" debut at #26. (However, most "Glee" songs tend to fade fast.)
