Adam Lambert, Kris Allen double spins for new songs

According to the newest "Idol" airplay numbers courtesy of USA Today, Adam's new song "If I Had You" doubled in total spins from the week before. Even though the song may only be at #64 on the chart among "Idol" alums, this is a substantial increase from where it stood last week (at #82). In addition, we also have to remember that Adam is at the top of the chart still with "Whataya Want From Me."

In addition, winner Kris Allen is also experiencing some success with "The Truth." After spending last week at #64 (which is apparently a popular number these days), the reigning champ is now at #49 with his new song. While it's not expected that either singer will be able to leapfrog this many spots for the entirety of their radio runs, it certainly is a good sign that both could find a certain level of success with their songs. Once the music videos are released, this could only escalate.
