Adam Lambert Certified Platinum in Canada

In a tweet earlier this morning, Sony confirmed that the American Idol finalist has sold more than 80,000 copies of the CD across the country. The record label expects to release a formal announcement on its website later today.

For Your Entertainment was certified Gold by the Canadian Recording Industry Association (CRIA) on January 26, 2010. No official announcement has been made by CRIA about the Platinum certification, but the most current results on their website date back to January and includes Lambert's Gold certification lisiting.

Lambert is scheduled to perform at two sold-out Canadian concerts - April 8 in Coquitlam, BC at the Red Robinson Theatre in the Boulevard Casino and April 9 in Richmond, BC at the River Rock Casino Resort. Both shows sold out in a matter of minutes.
