The turn of the 21st century marked a significant change in LGBTQ music, as even more artists became vocal about their genders and sexualities. In 2001, openly gay vocalist Jake Shears and his friends started a band called The Scissor Sisters. The group, with a name that references lesbian sexual activity, implemented many themes of gay culture into their songs. Canadian indie pop duo Tegan and Sara, openly gay identical twins, gained mainstream success in 2007 after their album The Con charted at No. 34 on the Billboard 200 list. Adam Lambert grabbed the nation’s attention with his flashy style and flamboyant personality on season 8 of American Idol. His 2009 debut studio album, For Your Entertainment, peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, and The New York Times later identified him as “the first openly gay mainstream pop artist” to start a career on a major label.............read more

Report: Lawsuit Over iTunes Double-Billing Dismissed

Quote :: A lawsuit against Apple claiming the company double-billed its iTunes customers has been dismissed. Courthouse News is reporting that the plaintiffs, Robert Herskowitz and Phoebe Juel, settled with the tech giant on Tuesday Oct. 7

Herskowitz brought his $5 million lawsuit in 2012, alleging that Apple had likely defrauded countless customers by billing twice for songs purchased in iTunes, and that the company's no-refunds/no-returns policy nixed any chance of refunds.
